The Charity Starts at Home and Spreads Abroad Ministry:

The 'Charity Starts at Home and Spreads Abroad Ministry' is the newest component of Faith Hope Charity Ministries International. Based on Acts, Chapter  1, verse 8, "But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." the ministry launched its first missionary/evangelistic trip, as such, in November, 2005. Although Minister Johnson has led and participated in several church crusades in Jamaica, West Indies, he says, " I used to dream and have visions of evangelizing and doing missionary work in the far and remote places of the world." The dream has become reality.

In November, 2005, the ministry traveled to the Philippines, a region comprising more than 7,000 islands. Hosted by Pastor Vincent Padupad and his wife, Founders of Coastland Missions in Baguio City, Johnson and a group of about 30 Filipino pastors, Christian musicians, medical and business professionals traveled over 900 miles evangelizing and providing medical and dental assistance to some of the most indigent people in the world. Encompassing a total of 14 days, the last 4 days of the trip were spent in Mindanao, a southern region of the Philippines. When asked what was the highlight of the mission, Johnson replied, "Being able to minister and prophesy to about 25 gang members aged 15-25. They had heard of my testimony and were waiting for me." Today, those members of one of the most notorious gangs in the Philippines are serving the Lord Jesus Christ.

In April, 2006, the ministry traveled to Kigali, Rwanda, Africa. Minister Johnson shared his testimony at several services and was the keynote speaker at a youth conference attended by a large number of youths. Having visited Romania and just recently returning from Brazil, we learned that 20,000 people die a violent death annually in Brazil. 80% of youths killed in northeast Recife are 19 years old and younger.  Johnson conveys that it was difficult for him to return to the United States.  He says "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest", St. Matthew 9:37,38. Contact the ministry for more information about our missions and outreach programs.

The Faith, Hope, Charity Outreach, & Prison Ministry:

The Faith, Hope, Charity Outreach and Prison Ministry continues to remember them that are in bonds as bound with them and them which suffer adversity as being ourselves also in the body, (Hebrews 13:3). The ministry, teaching a strong Biblical message of repentance and salvation, continues to break new ground as it prays for the forgotten; reaches out to "the unreachable"; and seeks those that are lost (St. Luke 19:9, 10). Min. Johnson, early in his conversation, had a dream that he was admitted into a local county correctional facility as a Bible teacher. Being gifted with a love for prison incarcerates, he has served as a volunteer Protestant chaplain for 14 years. One inmate writes,

"First, I will give thanks and my praises to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I thank Him for saving me when I was a little girl while living with my foster grandmother. She was a Christian and a prayer warrior. I believe that I would have committed suicide some 20 years ago, if the word of the Lord had not been ministered to me way back then. My suicidal thoughts had nothing to do with my foster care situation....The reason why the spirit of suicide nearly overtook my mind and life was because of my present situation which involves my commission of a crime. It was a crime of deception which robbed me of the best years of my life. One minute, I was moving on with my life in a usual manner; and then in the next minute I was behind bars. I was deceived by a childhood friend to commit the crime. It took me a while to forgive my friend but it took me even longer to forgive God. The only reason I'm still alive today is because God has willed it so and He has shown me glimpses of His purpose for my life. Also, having Minister Johnson as my Biblical instructor and Brother in Christ throughout the years has truly been inspiring. To hear his testimonies about the battles he has overcome and the victories he has won, show me that I too can talk openly about some of my past struggles. I am so proud of you, Minister Johnson. Your passion for the Lord continues to encourage me to grow more in the Word of the Lord, so I can become an effective servant of our Lord. Thank you for allowing yourself to be a faithful servant of our Savior and to be a blessing to us."

Recently at a Sunday evening service at a prison, 17 people came forward to accept the Lord Jesus Christ and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. At least 2 of them who came forward were filled with the Holy Spirit as it was evidenced and witnessed. Praise God!
